This is a very beautiful Monopole , Model Number 116, manufactured by Deville & Cie, bio ethanol stove. The stove was probably manufactured during the early 1920's and was one of many successful anthracite burning stoves manufactured by Deville over this illustrious manufacturing era. Visually a very attractive stove, the design is quite outstanding with some remarkable detail.
With its new stainless steel bio ethanol burner the stove does not require a chimney or flue. The stove is 100% efficient; no heat being lost via a flue or chimney. The burner is easy to access and refill.
The flame can be extinguished through the front door using the supplied tool. The stove can be sited in any room, remembering that like all stoves it will get very hot! One litre of bio ethanol fuel, gas lighter, flame snubber tool and instructions will be supplied with the stove. I will be happy to advise on any technical details, historical details or installation/operation questions.
